The HALB family mourns the loss of SKA’s primary benefactor,
Mr. S. Daniel Abraham a”h,
whose influence will be felt for many years to come.
Mr. Abraham was the beloved son of Dr. Samuel & Stella K. Abraham a”h,
uncle of former HALB parents Sherri (Steinberg) Herring
and Marilyn (Steinberg) Lauer (HALB ’67),
and great-uncle of Rabbi Ari Herring (HALB ’92),
Aliza (Herring) Pilevsky (SKA ’98), David Herring (HALB ’97),
HALB parent & SKA faculty member Yael (Herring) Fischman (SKA ’06),
Tammy (Lauer) Alter (SKA ’98),
former HALB parent Ilana (Lauer) Buchbinder (SKA ’99),
Jonathan Lauer (HALB ’98), and Rabbi Simcha Lauer (DRS ’05),
and great-great-uncle of Aiden Buchbinder (DRS ’24)
and Gavriel Fischman (HALB 5th grade).
Through his visionary generosity, Mr. Abraham made an indelible impact on the growth and vitality of the Stella K. Abraham High School for Girls as the primary benefactor for the naming and later expansion of SKA.
The funeral has already taken place.
