My dear grandmother, Ruth Neuburger A”H, bid her parents farewell at the tender age of 14 as she boarded the kinder transport with this valise in hand. That would be the final time her parents would see her as they were ultimately murdered by the nazis Ym”sh. Charged with the awesome responsibility of raising her young 8 year old brother and continuing her family legacy, she would live every moment of her life committed to passing on her hallowed mesorah to the next generation. True gadlus. ויהי בנסוע הארון… בכל דור ודור עומדים עלינו לכלותינו. We can never forget the tremendous sacrifices people made to bring us to where we are.
