At about 2pm today, Thursday, November 8, 2018
word reached me that there was an accident on 878
between Central Avenue and Broadway, with a
fatality. Tragically, Rabbi Naftali Rhodes, a Far Rockaway resident
and father of two died. He is the son of Rav Dovid Rhodes,
Rosh Yeshiva of Torah Metzion in Great Neck.
His wife is Tzippy (Grumet) Rhodes, daughter
of pillar of our community Rivkie Glenn Grumet,
and her husband Henoch Grumet,
and the grandson of former resident
of Far Rockaway, the prominent mohel,
Rabbi Avrohom Glenn.
The funeral will take place tomorrow morning,
Friday, November 9th, at 9:30am at
Agudah of Long Island, 1121 Sage Street, in Far Rockaway
Shiva will be observed at the home of Rabbi and Mrs.
Dovid Rhodes at 1230 Beach 12th Street, Far Rockaway
until Thursday morning, November 15th.
